Nindō: Early Development Overview

Welcome to Nindō! Nindō is an idle game set in a world inspired by the traditions of Japanese samurai and ninja. As a skilled warrior, your journey involves gathering bamboo, processing it into valuable goods, and mastering various professions to enhance your operations. While the game is still in early development, your feedback is crucial as I continue to improve and expand the experience.

Current Features

  • Bamboo Collection Begin your journey by slicing bamboo, the core resource of Nindō. The more bamboo you collect, the more you can sharpen your sword to increase your efficiency.
  • Bamboo Processing Once collected, bamboo can be processed into valuable goods. These goods can be sold to earn yen, which is vital for hiring and upgrading your workforce.
  • Hiring and Automation Use your yen to hire samurai, farmers, carpenters, and managers. Samurai help you earn more yen, while farmers and carpenters automate the collection and processing of bamboo. Managers take your operations a step further by automatically selling processed bamboo, allowing you to focus on expanding your empire.
  • Upgrade Mechanics Upgrades are available for your sword and workforce. Each upgrade improves efficiency and unlocks new possibilities, making your journey even more rewarding.

Planned Features

  • Clans I plan to introduce a clan system, where players can align with different factions. Each clan will offer unique bonuses and challenges, encouraging strategic decision-making.
  • Battles Separate from the main gameplay, a battle system will allow players to pit their skills against AI-controlled enemies. These battles will be strategic, with the outcome influencing your progress in the main game.
  • Crafting System Introducing a crafting system that allows you to create unique items and weapons from the resources you gather. Crafting will add a new layer of strategy and depth to the game.
  • Dynamic Market The market for bamboo products fluctuates, offering you opportunities to sell at the right moment for maximum profit.

Something about the math is broken. I got my Samurai 100, Farmer 1000, Carpenter 100, Manager 100. I'm not gathering any Bamboo now. The Yen keeps going up, but no Bamboo

I'll look into that thanks!

Is there anything to do besides sharpen my sword? Once I bought my first Samurai, it took me less than 5 minutes to snowball into having level 100 of all professions and just watching my numbers go up

So far no I am working on coming up with new gameplay ideas while trying to fix bugs and balance. If you have any suggestions on the numbers for balancing it would help out.

I'm not sure if the hired people do their job? There is no automation to slicing or processing but after I process it it does sell. I have multiple of each hire.

So sorry about that. The new version I just posted fixed this from what I tested and I made it so the cost of sharpening your sword can be seen once it increases. (Before it always showed the cost as 10 bamboo) Also I wanted to say thanks for testing my game it's very early stages as you can tell and not very balanced, but I hope this game can improve so that others can enjoy it.

No problem! I noticed the cost too but thought it was a feature lol (it didnt prevent me from playing by removing mechanics)

I'll comment again if I notice something else game breaking.

Thanks!
